This company was founded in 1909 by Wilhem Kürbi and Carl Niggeloh in Barmen-Rittershausen. In November, 1911 they transferred the firm at Radevormwald.

From about 1935 until 1975 they produced still cameras under their name and from also produced still cameras for other photo companies: Gevaert, Photo Quelle (Revue), Voigtländer, Yashica and Zeiss Ikon.

They produced also other articles as the shoulder pad of Braun for Super 8 cameras and splicers.
