This projector is the first and last projector in developing an active noise supression system (DNL), which is similar to the Dolby NR system, especially for sound Super 8 films.The Philips DNL system (DNL = Dynamic Noise Limiter) suppresses tape noise on reproduction and improves the overall acoustic image of all sound films.
