Small gauge filmmakers appreciate their Muray film viewer, which was also sold in Germany under the brand name Hähnel. No wonder: the little beauties with a dog’s nose and hammer finish that promise to be indestructible are reliable companions of our favorite hobby.
But what do you do when the built-in light source is exhausted? So far it has been difficult to find a replacement and high prices are often called for.
For my two Muray viewers in N8 and 16mm I was able to find a 100% suitable replacement lamp. The Philips 13864CP, actually an interior light for vehicles, has exactly 24V and 5W of the original light and you can order it here very cheaply.
So nothing should stand in the way of the next film project.
